The Aselkon Red Stone (sometimes written Redstone) Semi-Auto Field 4+1 capacity 12-gauge shotgun has a 28” barrel backed by a stout 3” chamber. It uses a fast cycling “floating” bolt action and an inertia bolt locking system for positive head lockup with the breech.

The Red Stone is one of Aselkon’s “Inter” series. Aselkon says this 12-gauge is Inter Balanced, Inter Bored and uses InterPro Chokes. Inter Balanced refers to the gun’s precision drilled Inter Bored Barrel that’s designed for both heavy and light loads. It comes with a quintet of removable InterPro Chokes. The thoughtfully color-coded choke set includes C, IC, M, IM and F.

You’ll note the good-sized charging handle and bolt release. Down below, Aselkon makes it easy to load the Red Stone even when wearing gloves. It thus logically calls the combination of its nicely beveled loading port and outward angled cartridge drop lever Easy Load.

The receiver is Cerakoted anodized 7012-T6 aluminum alloy (instead of the more common 7075-T6). Both alloys incorporate zinc, but 7012-T6 has a smidge more. Zinc has great anti-corrosion properties, and indeed, ancient objects made with zinc alloys prove zinc alloy goods can last not decades but millennia! So, at the very least, with 7012-T6, you’ll have a conversation starter.

You can get the gun in all black polymer (synthetic). Thus, the forend, stock, barrel, receiver, cheek rest, buttpad, ejection port and virtually anything else are black. And atop everything you get an 8mm vented rib and a TRUGLO red front fiber optic sight.

The barrel is made of black chromium 4140 alloy steel. Before leaving the factory, the barrels are test fired with 1500 BAR test cartridges. For functional styling, the curved pistol grip has a nice flare at the bottom of the grip. The trigger guard has a visually arresting sharp bottom angle. And there is a nice, thick, black high-tech microcell buttpad at back that does wonders to soak up recoil.

Overall length is just 39.78”. Length-of-pull is 13.4”, drop at comb is 1.45” and drop at heel is 2.16”. Weight is 6.27 pounds.
