The inexpensive ATI GSG FireFly 4.9B Mint is an M1911-type .22 LR model (model GERG2210FFM). It might be the “I want it all” semi-automatic centerfire pistol you seek.

Let’s breakdown this gun’s name. ATI is short for American Tactical Imports. It’s the well-known Summerville, South Carolina American importer of this Made in Germany gun. And GSG is short for German Sporting Gun. The barrel is 4.9” long, and overall length is 8.2”. FireFly alludes to the gun’s light weight that’s just above two pounds. But World War II buffs will also remember the M4 Sherman Firefly with its 17-pounder British gun could hit very, very hard. Not in the name is the gun’s DA/SA (double-action/single-action) engineering!

Then there is the “mint” part. All guns have a beauty that is in the eye of their beholder. But there is something appealing about the mint green alloy frame. It looks great. And it’s combined with matte black everything else, which includes the slide, nicely textured polymer grips, trigger, hammer, sights, fasteners, ambidextrous thumb safety, slide catch, etc.!
