The Adams Arms Tactical Evo Rifles are chambered in 5.56x45mm short-stroke arms built around the company’s own Voodoo Barrels. These 30+1 capacity .223 REM/5.56 caliber gas-operated semi-automatics are all matte black. They include the 14.5” Pinned Mid Length Tactical Evo Rifle, 16” Mid Length Tactical Evo Rifle, 16” Mid Length XLP Tactical EVO Rifle, and a 14.5” Pinned Mid Length XLP Tactical Evo Rifle.

The tough Voodoo Barrels are made of 4150 chrome moly steel. They are 1/2”-28 TPI threaded and have a fast 1:7” twist ratio. They get a black nitride bath that thermo-chemically increases durability and corrosion resistance. On top of that Adams Arms adds an anti-corrosive LifeCoat Melonite finish for looks and durability. Threaded on the front is a classic matte black A2 birdcage flash hider.

The series features Adams Arms’ in-house developed self-cleaning patented gas piston system. It vents gases away from the user, is corrosion resistant and eliminates harmonic barrel transfer.

The upper and lower receivers are high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum alloy that incorporates zinc. Zinc has great anti-corrosion properties, and indeed, ancient objects made with zinc alloys prove such goods can last not decades but millennia! The receiver “halves” are forged to MIL-SPEC standards. They then receive a dyed Type III Class 2 hard coat anodized finish.

The upper receiver is a flat-top A4 design with a full-length MIL-SPEC-1913 Picatinny rail with T-markings between slots to indicate slot numbers (and thus facilitating positioning/repositioning scopes and other goodies). The upper integrates M4 feed ramps for a more perfect channeling of rounds from receiver to barrel. At the bottom of the lower receiver, you get a beveled magwell for slicker, faster, mag swaps.

These guns come with a splendid free float lightweight Samson Evolution extended handguard crested by a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and with smaller accessory 2” and 4” length Picatinny rail sections easily located to one’s liking. These guns lack sights, but it’s absolutely ready for them. The handguards also have a QD attachment. Adams Arms provides an Ergo Grip for the bottom.

In back you get a lever-adjusted six-position Exos Defense TI-7 enhanced SOPMOD-style carbine collapsible stock. It has quickly accessed onboard waterproof storage for multiple CR123, AA, or other such. The stock’s length-of-pull latitude is 3.25”. Thus, overall length on the 16” barrel gun is 33” to 36.25”. It weighs 7 pounds.

The two XLP guns differ a bit by having XLP low-profile gas blocks and different stocks but are otherwise very similar. These guns come standard with a single GI aluminum mag. Adams Arms Tactical Evo Rifles are Made in USA.
