History

In 1974 a group of Swedish entrepreneurs set out to improve shooting accuracy with one goal in mind – to create a technology that would allow shooters to quickly acquire both static and moving targets in all weather and lighting conditions. Soon, their Aimpoint red dot sight would revolutionize the world of shooting and hunting.

The first commercial sight, the "Aimpoint Electronic" red dot sight, was introduced to the market in 1975 and has continued to evolve over the past 35 years to become recognized as one of the fastest, most rugged and most efficient electronic small arms sights in the world, with more than 1 million red dot sights in use worldwide today.
