ANDREW JACKSON Commemorative Flintlock Pistol in CHERRY Wood Case. Edition of 1500 and originally sold for ~$3000.00 in 1985. The gun has SILVER INLAY and Original artwork by noted historical artist, JACK WOODSON. This rare and beautiful gun was produced for the U.S. HISTORICAL SOCIETY. Historical scenes from Jackson's adventurous past and symbols from his life adorn the pistol. There are 15 hand crafted inlays of PRECIOUS METAL fitted to the TIGER-STRIPED MAPLE STOCK. Gun is FULLY FUNCTIONAL and in near mint condition. SPECIFICATIONS: Overall length of gun is 14 1/2", barrel length is 81/2" and the caliber is 45. Engraving is STERLING SILVER. stock is AGED TIGER-STRIPED MAPLE. Ramrod tip, ferrules, nose cap, escutcheon plates, trigger guard, and ornamentation are all STERLING SILVER. Grip Plates are minted STERLING SILVER. Barrel wedges made of steel. Front and rear sights are SILVER.
