Description for Item # 329233061

Here is an early Rock Island Arsenal 30-06 that retains many of its early original features including its original September 1910 dated RIA barrel. The bore is surprisingly good with sharp rifling, lots of shine mixed with just a little frost and a strong crown. It has a WWII finger grooved stock with the typical bumps and dings, but seems quite sound. The metal finish is fading, but it looks like it was parkerized at one time during an old arsenal rebuild. This is a low numbered gun and would not be considered shootable due to the poor metallurgy of the time. This is a consignment item and all sales are final so be sure of what you are bidding on. Buyer to pay actual shipping and provide copy of FFL/C&R. Payment to be in the form of Money Order or Cashiers Check (credit cards add 3%). I combine shipping on multiple items.
