Description for Item # 330397771

M1A preban September of 1990 build date. This M1A was built by Melvin Smith and is considered one of the "Golden Age of the Springfield M1A's" These are probably the most sought after and collectible M1A's built. This rifles receiver was hand finished and assembled by Melvin Smith and assembled by him using all USGI parts with a USGI Winchester barrel.Rifle is in near perfect condition with a beautiful commercial walnut stock and comes with a USGI fiberglass stock, two like new 20 rnd Magazines, original box,factory springfield armory scope mount, and a brand new Turner AWS sling. Rifle is in the X59XXX serial range so that puts it right in the middle of the 2000 or so rifles Melvin Smith built before he passed away.
