42 Spencer Cartridges in original Boxes

42 SPENCER CARTRIDGES - ORIGINAL CASE / 6 SLEEVES - .56-50

This is a full box of 42 Spencer carbine or rifle cartridges. The box is complete and open. The sleeves are complete, and some of them open up to show the cartridges. They were nut torn open. The glue basically came loose, and the paper and boxes can open. Nice to see what is inside! The rounds are all perfect and still have the lube and patina on them. They have not been cleaned. They have plain head stamps. They are .56-50 which came out at the end of the Civil War. These would have been used well into the Indian Wars. The Spencers came 7 to a box because that is how many would fit into the tubular butt magazine. This box is very nice and would make an outstanding addition to a Civil War or Indian War display. They are made by Sage Manufacturing company.
