Description for Item # 330445804

This Ship Wreck recovered cannon is several hundreds years old all I know is it was recovered somewhere from the South Pacific. The bronze is heavily pitted, I presume the white part of the patina is coral. The cannon weights 40 lbs. is 38-1/2" long and has a breech diameter of 3-1/2". The bore is 7/8" The swivel is of the open design and has a pole cassabel. No ornamentation, most likely a small merchant vessel defence gun. Over all a very attractive ship weck rail cannon which would make a great display piece but not for firing.
