Lower Receiver Specifications
The lower receiver used in this build is a Spikes MIL-SPEC forged lower, quality made using 7075 T6 aluminum (aircraft grade). MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 Hardcoat Anodized Finish inside and out.

Buffer Tube & Buffer/Action Spring Specifications
The buffer tube used in this build is mil-spec and was made with 7075 T6 aluminum (aircraft grade). These are true mil-spec buffer tubes made with military grade materials and mil-spec diameter. The tube also includes a carbine action spring and carbine buffer. Before you buy an AR-15 you should ask for the specifics of the buffer tube. Many sellers will call their buffer tube "mil-spec" simply because the diameter of the tube is mil-spec, but you should also ask what type of aluminum it was made from. If it was not made from 7075 T6 it will not be as durable and could possibly bend on you under heavy stress. Don't settle for mil-spec diameter, insist on mil spec materials as well.

Buttstock Specifications
The buttstock used in this build is a mil-spec Magpul MOE Stock. The Magpul CTR (Compact/Type Restricted) – Mil-Spec Model is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M16 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. Designed for light, fast action the streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation. The MOE also features a supplemental friction lock system that minimizes excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability. The Mil-Spec Model includes a standard 0.30" rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear. This is one of the best Buttstocks that Magpul makes. Don't settle for a cheap polymer buttstock that wobbles & rattles, make sure it is a Magpul.

Handguard Specifications
The Magpul MOE™ Hand Guard for M16/AR15 rifles with carbine-length gas systems combines the light weight of a standard hand guard with modular flexibility. Slots at the two, six, and ten o’clock positions allow for optional mounting of Picatinny rail sections for tactical lights and other accessories. Reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction provides operational durability without the weight and expense of an aluminum rail hand guard. Front extensions and lower lip provides additional operator protection from hot front sight assembly.

Pistol Grip Specifications
The Pistol Grip used in this build is a mil-spec Magpul MOE Plus Pistol Grip. The MOE+ Grip combines reinforced polymer body construction with comfortable, wrap-around rubber overmolding for maximum weapon control in adverse environments. With a similar shape to a 'medium' sized MIAD, this AR15/M16 drop-in design features a hard-polymer bottom edge to reduce the possibility of equipment snags or grip damage. The MOE+ Grip accepts optional storage cores for gear stowage and includes a basic grip cap. This is the most comfortable pistol grip that Magpul makes. Don't settle for a cheap plastic pistol grip, make sure it's a Magpul.

Magazine Specifications
The Magazine included in this build is a mil-spec Magpul PMag. These are the same magazines that the military prefers. The PMAG is a 30-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) AR15/M16 compatible magazine. It features an advanced impact resistant polymer construction, a pop-off Impact/Dust Cover for storage, and an easy to disassemble design with a flared floorplate for positive magazine extraction from pouches. The PMAG 30 utilizes a resilient stainless steel spring for corrosion resistance and a anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower for increased reliability.
This current revision has been updated with a new body ribbing design which allows for better compatibility with aftermarket mag couplers, a new follower which provides even smoother loading with military stripper clips, and the Impact/Dust Cover can now be snapped onto the floorplate when not in use to prevent possible loss.
