Description for Item # 330648070

This old 1886 4 Diget serial number 44-40 Revolver , made frist year of production for the 44-40 Smith & Wesson , is in very good condition ,you could shoot this one if you had the black powder shells , locks up tight in Double action & Single action , 6 in . Barrel has good rifling with some small pitting as most Black powder revolvers 126 years old ( probely made 1st year of production ),the Nickel finish has almost all flaked off but has a nice smooth gray patina .The grips are very good , Barrel,latch ,grip frame has the same number 42xx ,do not see number on cylinder but am sure it is orginal . The 1886 Frontier 44-40 model has a larger frame than the .44 1881 Russian and the cylinder is 1 & 9/16 in. long.This is a Great old western Revolver .We will pay the shipping in lower 48 states only .WILL TRADE Must be over 21 and must have proof of your age ( Copy of Driver licensee )and we will not ship anywhere it is not legal , please check your local laws .
