This is a direct Vet Estate Pick-up,The Grand Kids knew very little about their Grand-Father's Tour in Europe during WW2, they think he brought this Original M16 Helmet from his Campaings. It is a Transitional WW1 M16 Helmet that saw Heavy Combat use during Both Wars, in WW2 German Troops were refurbishing WW1 Helmets for War, just before creating the M-35. The M-16 had the lugs for the chin strap on the helmet and in WW2, the liner had the lugs, This helmet has had a couple of coats of greenish brown paint applied before the war. It is a double decal helmet. The original WW II type liner looks to have never been removed. All rivets are present and undisturbed. Liner shows wear but is pliable and in very good shape. It has a leather chin strap that is marked R. Larsen, Berlin 1938. Both lugs are present also. sized 58 or 64 helmet. Looks to have seen some heavy combat. No dents.
I am not an expert with Helmets but I have great pictures, you will be the judge.
I will ship in the us for $15.
