Remington 870 & 1100 Tactical Rail with Side Shell Holder
Now you can add functionality and tactical style to your Remington 870 and 1100 shotguns with ease. With this full-length rail system you can incorporate scopes, holographic sights, lights, lasers, Picatinny-mountable flip-up iron sights, and more. Thanks to the inclusion of quad rail mounting points, you can configure your rig however you would like. Milled from a solid piece of aluminum billet, this rail system is stiff while remaining light --adding just enough weight to your shotgun to help reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip.
Although this system is compatible with the 870 and 1100 series, an extended magazine tube is required and the manufacturer does not recommend using on model 870s built after 2011 as the rail system may not allow the shotgun to cycle on the slide correctly. Also note: A minimum barrel length of 18" is required and, due to the mounting clamp sizing, this rail is incompatible with barrels that have enlarged muzzle breaks such as a breacher. If your shotgun has large sights, such as a set of ghost rings, they may need to be removed before this rail will mount.
NOTE: The clamp system in this kit sees nearly 100% of the shock associated with every round fired. It is of the utmost importance that the clamp be as tight as possible so as not to move backwards. The use of a thread-locking agent and frequent checking of the clamps is recommended. If the clamp works loose, all of the energy is transferred to the pins and screws, which are not meant to see that level of shock.
