Description for Item # 330847865

FOR AUCTION A PAIR OF WINCHESTER 1892, .44-40 CALIBER, LEVER ACTION RIFLES. THESE RIFLES HAVE BEEN TOGETHER "98 YEARS" CONSECUTIVELY SERIAL NUMBERED; 723844 AND 723845. THESE RIFLES WERE MAUFACTURED IN 1913. BOTH RIFLES ARE STANDARD ROUND 24" BARRELS. BOTH HAVE "CB 196" AND "CB 197" STAMPED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BUTTSTOCK. THESE NUMBERS ARE IN THE SAME SEQUENCES AS THE SERIAL NUMBERS. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS "CB" WHICH IS UNKNOWN AS TO THE EXACT ORIGIN. THE LETTERS ARE NOT "GB" FOR GREAT BRITTIAN; AS THESE DO NOT HAVE ANY BRITISH PROOF MARKS ON ANY OF THE METAL SURFACES. BOTH RIFLES HAVE TYPICAL BROWN PATINA RECEIVERS. GOOD BLUE ON THE BARRELS AND MAGAZINES. STOCKS AND FOREARMS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS; LESS THAN NORMAL WEAR ON THE STOCK FINISH. ALL SCREWS ARE GOOD AS WELL. PLEASE SEE IMAGES BELOW FOR DETAILS. WE DO NOT SELL TO CALIFORNIA. BUYER PAYS TOTAL PLUS ACTUAL U.S. POSTAL SHIPPING AND INSURANCE WITH A CURRENT SIGNED FFL.
