WINCHESTER 1911SL SHOTGUN
The Winchester 1911SL shot gun was designed by T. C. Johnson. Itis similar to the Browning
Auto 5, however to keep from patent infringements, Johnson had to come up with some new ideas.
John Browning's patents covered many design features such as the charging handle on the bolt.
Johnson knurled a section of the barrel so the gun could be charged by grabbing this knurled area
and pushing the barrel back to the full recoil position. These guns were made from 1911 - 1925
This gun is 12 ga, 26 inch barrel, blue, with a walnut stock and fore end. The gun was refinished
and, as the photos show, the fore end repaired. It is in very good condition, and mechanically sound.
