I have on commision up for bid my trapping mentor's Antique New Zeeland Moutain Goat powder horn,I have contacted some of the biggest Antique powder horn companys and they never seen one like this,so this is how the story goes 10 years ago tom met a 78 year old man at a trapping show who had this horn for display the man was a merchant marine during the war and when the U.S. was pushing Rommel (Desert Fox)out of Africa he purchased it there ( North Africa) in 1941 and the mechant who sold it to him said it was his grandfathers from the late 1800's who needed the money for passage out of the war zone.The first bid is high because I told tom to take the horn to a jeweler to see what the red stones where made of as you can see he lives in a trapping cabin WAY out in the back woods of Michigan. I have posted alot of pictures of this and have told all the companies who didn't have a clue what this was that now it's up for bids. Buyer must contact seller 3 days after close of auction and postal money order received 10 days after contact,any questions please ask before bidding e-mail shadowmun@excite and,PLUS I'll knock off $50.00 more TOWARDS SHIPPING and insurance. this is bottom price can't go no lower.Thanks for looking.

I had one professor claim it was a bird shot horn for bird hunting I my self don't know but only this when I handled the horn it's older than dirt.
