DOWN TO MY LAST FEW BATCHES!
Up for auction is 100 rounds of the original FN discontinued SS192! TWO sealed boxes of 50/each. These are right from a freshly opened factory sealed ammo can. SS192 was voluntarily discontinued by FN due to political pressure, but it was NEVER "banned" - NOR EVER federally "restricted". (More info below.) I could easily be a jerk, too, & rip you off as many are doing here. But I've got plenty, and I'll sell some at FAIR prices. And YOU CAN BELIEVE THIS - it's truly the LAST OF ITS KIND!
Question: Why in the world are some paying ridiculous and outrageous prices (up to $7-$10-$20+ per ROUND!!!) for old, defunct Elite Ammo, Baca Ballistics and/or ANY other non-brand-name (non FN approved) RELOADS? That's just insane, guys... Also, have you noticed old EMPTY FN boxes being sold on GB? It's humorous. Now, what do you think those boxes will be filled with? The REAL stuff...? Very doubtful. Don't be suckers. Who's FOOL enough to purchase 5.7x28 BY THE ROUND? That's astonishing! Do you realize how easy this ammo is to forge? A little black paint goes a long way... It's 5.7x28 - NOT a computer-guided, military-only, winged, explosive-tipped 50bmg for Christ's sake! In time, Federal (already tooled up), Remington, Speer, or some off-shore manufacturer will produce another steel core "FN approved" round. Patience can be a virtue - and save you a bundle. They'll probably even tip it in black just to make you happy.
ALL you creeps ripping these guys off should crawl into your gutters - & be ashamed of yourselves. You all KNOW who you are.
Just the FACTS, brothers: Both Elite Enterprises (IL) and Baca (TX) were raided and shut down by the BATF for a LONG list of criminal violations - inclusive of selling firearms without a license. Wilfred Baca was originally from Elite. The ammo will void your warranty. The rounds are not properly tested, nor SAAMI or ANSI compliant. Blow up that $2,000+ piece of plastic - and you are SOL for warranty repair. Period. Just do your homework, or call FN yourself. Google up either company with BATF: You'll find a boatload of scam and ripoff reports. At best, they MAY still be selling some parts today. That's it. They were not good companies. And in the WORST case scenario, you could be seriously injured! Who knows the quality and pressures of those reloads??? They're NOT made in Belgium - just reboxed into the factory boxes. Their company reputations totally suck. For a fraction of the cost, you can find a good, reputable reloader and make up whatever you want. You'd still take a chance on voiding your warranty, but at least you'd know for sure what you are shooting. If you are looking for armor piecing ammo, find some military / LE SS190 or its L191 tracer equivalent. If you want a little hotter HP, try the SS198LF. They're out there, and pricey, but they're reliable factory rounds!
The SS190, L191, SS192, and SS195LF (lead free) are all comparable rounds with high velocities of 2350 ft/s (from a P90). The projectiles are all similar (copper plated 28 grain aluminum cores) but the SS190 and L191 sport a steel tipped projectile while the others are hollow points. The SS198LF is only "marginally" faster, directly PER FN, and it is today's hollow point military / LE round. The SS193 is the sub-sonic variant. (I'm yet to shoot one. Would sure be cool to try it with a can.)
Of the bunch, SS192 and the essentially identical restricted T194 (green tip) are both the discontinued early rounds. SS192 was discontinued in 2004 due to heat from the Brady Bunch and other anti-gunners up on the hill. It was NEVER "banned" nor federally "restricted" as MOST HERE are claiming it is. (Some will pay more as soon as "BAN" is even mentioned. That's really dumb, fellas…)
But, it was thought of as a "cop killing" round being able to penetrate Level II Kevlar, and was very popular within the drug cartels, as was the Five-Seven in general. Too much power and capacity for the anti-gunners to accept. (This was all highly controversial in the days, producing enough heat for FN to just get out of the kitchen. Hence, goodbye to the SS192.) Today's 40 grain commercial sporting rounds ballistically pale by comparison. Just look it all up.
SS192 and T194, hands down, are the most COLLECTIBLE rounds of the bunch due to their finite supply. When gone, they're gone. Both are very fast - and very nasty - little rounds. Compared to the SS190 for defensive ammo, both have improved expansion, less risk of over penetration, with an identical effective range of over 200 yards. What more can you want? - And again SS192 is NOT "banned", nor "restricted", nor classed as AP ammo. Don't believe all that HYPE. But, it IS the last of its breed. - And THAT'S the TRUTH!
Also note: To this day, I have yet to hear a good explanation as to why the boxes are marked as "BALL". Most of us think of ball ammo as being FMJ - NOT hollow points. Obviously they are hollow points. The best answer I've heard is it was an effort on FN's part to "disguise" it. But who really knows? FN is not commenting. It may forever be a mystery…
I'm new to GB, but you can check me out on eBay under Palladiancruise. Over 1400 positive feedbacks. Not one complaint - EVER! You can buy with total confidence. I will NOT let you down. I ship promptly and very well packaged.
TERMS: If you have negative feedbacks, your bid may be cancelled, even if you've won. Just give me a quick contact before you bid if you have any questions. Will NOT ship to CA, NY, NJ, DC, (or any area where restricted), APOs or P.O. Boxes. I originally included IL, but a helpful Crook County, IL resident with a F.O.I.D. card (i.e. a Federally approved license to purchase such) is able to purchase firearms, ammo, etc. So, IF you are able to purchase the item legally, then go for it. I'll never know ALL the laws and ALL the exceptions for every state. As long as it's 100% legal to ship to you, I'm 100% cool. The responsibility for understanding and following your state and area laws regarding firearms, ammunition and magazine capacities is on YOU, the Bidder/Buyer. Just be able to provide a copy of official PROOF if needed. Thanks, Scott!
By bidding, you are certifying that you are legal to purchase this item, and the sale is not restricted in your location. Add $18 for insured ground shipping with tracking (signature required) to the continental 48 states. (If you wish it to be expedited, I'll get you a cost.) I accept Postal Money Orders or Bank Checks. Personal Checks will be required to clear your bank prior to making shipment.
For my records only, a signed copy of your ID showing proof of legal age and your compliance with federal regulations is required before shipment. Please black out your actual license number, or any SSN. I don't want that. May be picked up in the west Phoenix AZ area.
Sorry about the stupid long "terms". Geesh...
THANKS - and happy bidding, folks! I'll have some A+ feedbacks coming very soon. Have stuff in transit right NOW!
