Description for Item # 331174249

This gun came from the factory with blued barrels that are factory marked Titanic steel but are in truth original damascus barrels. This is possible due to the fact that after the barrels were struck at the factory they both look identical and were sent to be either blued or have the damascus pattern brought out. This set obviously went the wrong way. Listed in the book as a Titanic gun. 30" choked Full x Full with excellent shiny bores, extrators and nearly all the browning damascus pattern .2 3/4" chambers. Unusual 1 1/2 frame size. 14 1/2 "LOP with drop of 1 3/4" and 2 3/4". Old Hawkins buttpad. Wood is nicer than it appears in the pictures. Oil stained and a little dark but in great shape. Locks up tight and on face with all numbers matching. Gun has been shot a lot but has been well taken care of. Barrel have probably been rebrowned and checkering and finish are too nice to be original. Factory letter confirms gun was sold as a Titanic steel gun. Mistake is confirmed. Offers?
