A VERY RARE CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR RIFLE IN ALL ORIGINAL ANDE CORRECT CONDITION. ORIGINALLY ATRIBUTED TO J.B. BARRETT5 OF WYTHEVILLE, VA BUT EXTENSIVE RECENT RESEARCH NOW ATTRIBUTES PRODUCTION TO N.T. READ & J.T. WATSON OF DANVILLE, VA IN 1862-1863. THESE WERE PRODUCED BY CONVERTING HALL RIFLES FROME BREECH LOADING TO MUZZLE LOADING USING NEWLY DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED RECEIVERS WITH CENTRAL HAMMER AND INLINE IGNITION.THE GUN IS IN ALL ORIGINAL AND CORRECT CONDITION WITH 2 PEICE STOCK UNJOINED UNDER MIDDLE BAND. THE HAMMER SPRING IS BROKEN BUT IS STILL IN THE ACTION. 54 CALIBER. ANTIQUE, CAN BE SHIPPED DIRECT. MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
