Two firing pins are cocked at the same time and the second shot is ready to fire without re-cocking. The Blaser over and under shotgun rifle is equipped with a double lock action. Barrels can be aligned for fast successive and accurate firing of bullet and slug. Changing to a different caliber or model is easy and inexpensive. Within the B 97 line, the barrel combination can also be used to change the rifle type. For example, the double rifle can become an over and under shotgun or Bergstutzen, and an over and under shotgun can become a Bergstutzen and vice versa.
