Description for Item # 331293584

This Winchester 1873 in 22 short is the best looking '73 I have in my collection and will be in yours with the right bid. This is Winchesters first repeating 22 they made, approx. 19,552 were made this one was built in 1888 serial # 263537, it's a 122 years old and after a visit to Doug Turnbull's shop it looks better than new. Turnbulls work is an added investment to any gun. Factory letter comes with it and a hard case. The photos don't do justice to this gun. Barrel is blued and receiver and other small parts are color cased hardened. Wood is original and in good shape with a couple of dark spots. I have never fired this gun and I believe the previous owner didn't fire it either after the Turnbull work. This gun is a piece of American history and a great show piece for anyones collection.
