Description for Item # 331518413

For the serious .303 British or World War II collector---Here is a once in a lifetime auction! 78 loaded pieces of .303 British ammunition! 78 different headtsamps from at least 6 different countries: America, Australia, Canada, India, Italy and United Kingdom. Different codes, dates, types of ammunition-IE: ball, armor-piercing, semi-armor piercing, tracer rounds, etc... *****If potential bidders would like to e-mail me an address, I can e-mail you a Word Document with the individual headtamps, markings, Dates, Etc. - making it easier to read than jumbled together as in the description below)****** I have meticulously gone through a box of rounds from an Enfield collection I am selling and as I am not an expert, went on-line and found as much information on these rounds as I could. Headstamp codes, country designations, etc. came from a very informative site: "Enfield King" and the headstamp link/information used for description purposes is: http://enfieldking.tripod.com/enfieldking/id12.html I will now list the heastamp designations, codes, months, years, etc. with a disclaimer being that: "The rounds are being sold 'AS-IS, with no implied warranty or guarantee as to functionality' of ammunition and all information provided is from the above mentioned site, and buyer must use own judgment from provided description, pictures, Etc. before bidding or buying".. Remember the auction is for one each of the below listed live rounds (GB.COM Description does not allow characters---So, when you see the "?" Mark, That stands for the the upward arrow/broad arrow as seen on pictures below----:? VII 1941- Unknown Headstamp as many of the different factories use the upward pointing arrow (Broad arrow), but cannot find information regarding this specific headstamp B?E 1942 G - Royal Ordinance Factory, Blackpole, Worchester, UNITED KINGDOM BPD 36 - New Haven Conn. UNITED STATES WRA 1942 .303 - Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. UNITED STATES WRA 1943 .303 - Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. UNITED STATES----------------------------------------------Check out pictures provided of some of the rounds described and they will also show condition of rounds (some with minor surface corrosion and some with small dents, dings, scratches, etc. as expected from ammo of this age). All shell cases are brass as far as I can tell and bullet weights & designs are unknown. Bullet materials appear to mostly be copper and nickel. As to use of ammunition for those that may be thinking of shooting them in case of "Zombie attack": the owner of the lot has had them in dry storage since the 60's and last recollects firing some of the rounds in the late 1980's with no difficulties other than obviously needing to clean out rifle barrel directly after use due to corrosive aspects of World War II powder and primers. ***Collection for sale locally and auction could end at anytime unless there is a first-round bid. After first-bid, local add will be pulled and rounds saved for GB.COM winning bidder.*** Rounds will be loose packed in a box. Shipping will be a flat rate of $25 to the lower 48 states with shipping to AK & HI gladly facilitated, but an extra $25 will be added to shipping fee. Buyer must provide copy of ID to prove 18 years or older. I accept USPS Money Order & Discreet PayPal only (PayPal buyers add 3% or send as gift to pay fees on your end). Payment due no later than 7 days after auction end. Shipping quote includes Delivery Confirmation and Insurance of sold value. Please ask questions before bidding. I do all I can to keep my 100% A+ feedback and have found that "adult-styled-communication" works best. Thanks for looking and please do all you can to communicate with your local and state representatives and let them know that we, the law abiding citizens of the U.S. will not sit by idly and let our second amendment rights gets trampled on!
