U.S. Air Force Academy Sword & Scabbard, Mfg. WKC Solingen, MINT Condition. Stock # SP COMM. No Serial #. One of over a thousand Antique and Modern Collectible firearms, including Military, Sporting, Custom and Tactical guns, as well as Edged Weapons and Militaria we have for sale at Jackson Armory (see our other listings), this is a US Air Force Academy Cadet Sword and Scabbard. The sword and scabbard are made of high-grade stainless steel The maker is the famous WKC firm of Solingen, Germany – their name and logo is on the back side of the Ricasso. WKC has been making swords for several hundred years, many of their swords were used in the Civil War. The sword has a world globe as the pommel, and the Air Force emblem is on the hilt. The center of the blade is engraved “US AIR FORCE ACADEMY” on the front side of the blade. The blade is 29 ½” in length, the sword is 39 ½’ in overall length. The sword and scabbard are in AS-NEW, MINT (98%) condition inside and out. To our knowledge, this type sword is still in use at the Academy.
