ANTIQUE, NO FFL NEEDED.
This is a South African Martini, not a recent war bring back. Made at the Enfield Arsenal in England. Action marked, “VR Enfield, 1885 II.” The bore has strong Henry’s Rifling with possibly a small amount of minor pitting, less than 1% of bore, but it may be just some crud. Regardless it is a good bore of at least a 6/7 of 10. The top of the receiver is marked SX for “strengthened extractor.” Original ramrod is present. The orginal ladder sight is present but needs to be repaired. WR number added to the side of receiver. This number indicates South African original and it meant that the gun had this number added during a confiscation or because its original serial number matched a previously registered gun. A good solid gun. Should be a decent (or better) shooter.
