Description for Item # 331820596

This is an example of the fowling guns used by taxidermists and wildlife artists of the day to collect specimens without causing much damage. Belgium proofed. It has seen use and some repairs as shown in pics. Bore is much better then one would expect for this type and era. Ramrod barrels have been cobbled up to be functional. There does not appear to be any reason it could not be fired but the buyer is advised to have it checked by a qualified gunsmith if they intend to actually fire it. This is a true collector gun and few examples exist. Please review pics and ask any questions you may have before you bid by emailing me directly at dads.guns@yahoo.com or calling me at 715-520-0173. There have been issues with contacts through the Gunbroker system going to my spam and thus not getting read or replied to. This is sold as is. As a black powder gun this does not require FFL transfer but I will require proof of age. By bidding the buyer certifies they are legally eligible to own this gun. This is for sale at my shop and will be pulled off the shelf only if there is a bid. Insured shipping to lower 48 fixed at $40. Buy it now gets shipping and handling to the lower 48 included at no additional charge. Additional $35 to HI or AL in either case. Payment must be USPS Money order. Sales to California require an additional $25 for additional admin. requirements. Payment with USPS Money Orders is expected within 7 days of the close of auction.
