Description for Item # 331978796

We have for auction a very early Daisy #25 Variation #5 Pump Action BB Rifle with pistol grip stock. This specific variation with a welded barrel mounted anchor point for the pump assembly was manufactured only for one year in 1933 (around the end of The Prohibition Era). The rifle is in excellent factory original condition and retains most of its factory applied original blued metal finish throughout with any loss mainly attributed to age, and some light oxidation. The rifle has No dents, No heavy rust or pitting, and good wood. The rifle appears to be in good working order, has all original parts including the internal shot tube, and should function just fine with proper care, and maintainance. We however do not guarantee the function of any vintage classic collectable air guns we sell. We simply cannot guarantee seals and springs in these vintage and antique air guns as they have been out of production for many years. It is our opinion that most of these older air guns are now highly sought after as collector’s items therefore shooting them may actually ruin or decrease their collector value. Therefore we sell all vintage or classic air guns as is collectors items only and leave the determination of functionality up to their new owners if they wish to actually shoot them. To serious Daisy collectors this is classified as a Daisy model #25 "Variation #5" with a welded pump assembly anchor and non-slip or serrated butt. These two traits are only found on Daisy air guns that date to the 1933 era, this is a rare variation of the Daisy Model 25 and only produced for approximately 1 year. We believe you will find this example very difficult if not impossible to improve on with a similar era gun.
