Description for Item # 331982017

We have for auction a very early Daisy Manufacturing Company Model #25 Pump Action BB Rifle with a plastic pistol grip stock. This specific variation with the silk screened frame scene would date back to approximately the mid to late 1960’s, and was manufactured in Rogers AR. This beautiful vintage Daisy is in excellent factory original condition retaining nearly all of its original blued metal finish throughout. The only wear on the rifle is concentrated around the slide area and can be attributed to some light careful use by the previous owner. Overall the rifle looks great! The factory Daisy plastic stock is straight, with no warpage, and the rifle appears to be in good working order with all original parts intact including the internal shot tube. We feel the rifle should function fine with proper care and maintainance. However we do not guarantee the function of any vintage classic air guns that we sell. We simply cannot guarantee the seals and springs in older vintage air guns that have been out of production for many years. It is our opinion that most of these older air guns are now highly sought after by collector’s, therefore shooting them may actually ruin or decrease their collector value. Therefore they are "sold as is collector item's only" and we leave the determination of functionality up to their new owners if they wish to actually shoot them. Serious Daisy collectors recognize this Daisy # 25 Variation with the "dog" as a difficult model to find in very nice condition. Most of the early silk screen scene guns have deteriorated in condition from age, poor storage, and in general alot of use. They have become very hard to find in minty condition and are quickly disappearing into collections. We believe you will find this example difficult if not impossible to improve on with a similar era gun. Please be sure to check our other auctions for other rare vintage air guns and accessories.
