We performed the up-grades here at Beaufort Naval Armorers and have test fired the piece because the install work required the dis-assembly of the gas piston and tube parts. All function proved perfect as expected with the AK's design/function reliability being the case. This is an absolutely fun weapon to fire and is a great 'cruiser's boat gun. The muzzle blast/flash is very easy. Muzzle climb seems non-existant. This seems like firing a .38/.357 which is remarkable considering the real power of the 7.62 MM intermediate rifle cartridge.
