A wonderful, 100% untouched Colt that has great appeal. It letters as factory .45 cal, 4 3/4" barrel, Nickel plated, stocks not listed, shipped to A. Baldwin & Co. New Orleans, Louisiana, January 24th 1900. The gun is all original with matching serial numbers throughout. There is about 15% original Nickel remaining, mostly along the barrel, hammer, top of the backstrap and rear of the frame. The balance of the gun is worn to a silvery grey patina. Correct markings, including the two-line barrel address. The caliber and patent markings are well worn. The Pearl grips are period and have no doubt been with the gun since new. They fit the gun very well, and have a vibrant, fiery color. There is minor skrinkage along the inner edge of the grips, and there is an old crack on the right grip. Very good bore with strong rifling and a little frosting that would benefit from a good cleaning (the gun is just as found). The action works perfect. Included is a Colt factory letter dated 1969, and a wonderfully rare skeleton style, spring-loaded shoulder holster. The holster is unmarked, and came with the gun. It is complete with no tears or rips, and is in excellent condition for what it is. A fine example of a Southern used Colt that we surely wish could talk! FFL or C&R required on post-1898 firearms. No sales of post-1898 firearms to California or CA residents. Buyer pays actual shipping costs. Three-day inspection is always honored.
