This is a great Model 1902 produced between 1907 and 1914. This one has a rubber buttplate, which dates it to 1907 or later. It is mechanically excellent and the bore has good rifling but with a few spots of shallow pitting. The takedown gumwood stock is in overall good condition except for a repairable crack on the right side. This rifle is marked ".22 short or long".
