Description for Item # 332760878

Damascus Double 30” barrel 12 ga “Gentleman’s field gun”

Engraved with “Fred K. Simes London Fine Twist” on the top between the barrels, has the Crown and BP proof on the underside of barrels along with other proof markings.

Very good condition, very nice checkered wood w/ silver inlay in stock (shield) and forearm, no cracks in wood. Highly engraved w/ engraving on the hammers, screws, trigger guard, engraved quails scene and “Fred K. Simes” on both sides of receiver, all there and appears to be fully functional, outstanding clean bore, only flaw is a distress crack around screw in the trigger guard. All serial numbers match on the forearm, receiver, and barrel. Outstanding example of 19th century firearm technology designed for the “Lord of the Manor".

As a used gun this is sold AS-IS with no refunds so please ask questions before bidding. This firearm is not for sale outside the 48 contiguous states and/or where prohibited by law. The buyer is responsible for checking their local laws concerning ownership and/or delivery of this firearm.

This firearm is considered an Antique firearm and can ship directly to the Buyer. As an antique firearm it should not be used with modern ammunition and loads.

This firearm is being offered for sale locally, therefore I reserve the right to end this auction early if an acceptable offer is presented and there are no bids pending in this auction.

Buyer will pay a $40 flat fee for shipping if "Buy Now" NOT used. I prefer to use UPS, however the Buyer may specify a different carrier such as FedEx, however I will not ship USPS (They have lost shipments of mine for weeks!!!!). Insurance is optional and HIGHLY recommended for this collectable firearm.
