a pair of dueling pistols, on lock marked R. Clarke & Son
on barrel No. 62 Cheapside, London
9¾” octagonal barrel with front sight,
caliber .62 flintlock,
small rear sight on breach,
end of barrel, counter lock and breach engraved,
proof marks on barrel.
Under barrel is a ramrod with an ivory tip.
The pistols are fully shafted with crisp checkered grips,
and with some minor nicks the condition in fine,
and is in working order.
The pair are in an original case with compartments for the pistols,
no other accoutrements.
Into the escutcheon scratched initials RDMC
and inside the label is missing.
The 220 year old set is rare and in fine condition.
