Do you work so much that you don't have time to go shooting with your child? Does your son or daughter spend all of his or her time texting or playing video games? I had this issue 10 years ago and decided to do something about it. I bought land in a beautiful part of Utah located less than two hours from Salt Lake City. I have been hosting trips for family and friends. I called it the Father/Son bonding trip. We spent a weekend camping, shooting, hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, golfing, and just talking with each other. The parents learned more about their child and the child learned that their parent was a pretty cool person who was a child at heart. What happened over the years was that the child learned something he would not have learned in the city: That a Man does not need to be told what is right or wrong. That a Man has a responsibility to himself, his family, and his community. He learned all this because firearms handling is a responsible endeavor. I have decided to expand our trips to all of you fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters. This will be our inaugural year so a big discount will apply. The cost for this year is $350 per person for the entire weekend; two persons per room. There is a limit of 10 persons per weekend so book early. Deposit is $100 per person at time of booking. There will also be a $25 discount per person paid in full at booking and another $25 per person discount for 4 of more persons paid in full at booking. Check in is Friday afternoon. We will have a firearms safety class. Saturday is a continental breakfast then off to the range for some shooting. Lunch is on your own then more shooting or hunting in the afternoon. Saturday dinner is on your own at the many restaurants in and around town. Sunday morning is the same with checkout at 1 p.m. All guns will be provided free of charge; you just pay for the ammo. Just let us know what you want to shoot. There is a big box store in town but ammo availability can't be guaranteed. We can purchase the ammo for you before you get here unless you want to bring it yourself.
