Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are real proud to offer this special order Winchester in a model of 1892. This feature is hard to find on the '92. The 24 inch octagonal barrel removes in about 10 seconds, and locks up tight again just as fast. Made in the year of our Lord 1911, this rifle was no safe queen. There are light to moderate handing marks on wood and steel, but she is still all there. The action works as designed, including the half cock safety. The bore has considerable shine and less than sharp rifling. It may clean to much better condition. The fairly clear stampings tell me this gun received good care after a day afield. The wood has some added finish, and it looks like some good figure might be hiding under those old layers. The fit around the top tang is remarkably good. That said, she is still a model 1892 takedown at the end of the day. This model is said by many to be the best looking of the Winchester lever guns, and the price on any '92 continues to rise. If you have been looking for the right 1892 special order gun to shoot or collect without the huge price tag, look no further. Good luck, gentlemen!
