German WWI-WWII Dress Bayonet/Dagger & Scabbard, Maker-Marked. Stock # SP COMM. This is a very nice German dress bayonet, dating, we believe, to WWI, and it no doubt saw parade use during WWII as well. The birds-head bayonet has a curved hilt that does not have a provision for attaching to a rifle (these were worn on the belt for parade dress only). The knife has a 9 ½” chromed blade with deep fullers, and is 14 ¼” in overall length, the grip is black checkered Bakelite. The blade is marked “Horst Wolff G.M.B.H. Leipzieg” on the left side of the ricasso. The bayonet/dagger is in great condition, the blade is just a little loose in the grip, and it has service marks from being taken out of the scabbard. The black painted (original paint) is in excellent condition with no dings or dents – it does not have a leather frog. Overall condition of knife and scabbard is 95%. This dress bayonet will really dress up your collection, it’s a good one! With a copy of your drivers license, establishing that you are over age 21, we can ship the knife direct to your home.
