Very good condition except for that this rifle was spoerterized some time during its life. Made from 1873-1877, about 73,000 total of these were produced. Metal in good condition with a dark patina, trap door and trigger function very well. 32" barrel. Wood remaining is very solid, with some scrapes and dings, but no cracks. If you have an original stock, this rifle would love to be wrapped in it! A great piece of American Military History! Have a gunsmith check if you intend to fire this rifle. Consignment sale, no trades. No FFL for this rifle, since it falls into the antique category!
