Description for Item # 333173764

This is a rare very nice condition Springfield Model 1903 Mark 1 with Pedersen device cut out chambered in 30-06 with 24” barrel. This serial # is 1041961 and has a very good bore, some dings to the wood are present and the stock has an arsenal repair on the left side, the barrel is marked Springfield Armory with the flaming bomb and was re-barreled in 1942 with a Springfield barrel. The action is also excellent. Approximately 102,000 rifles were produced with this millcut between 1918 and 1920. There is no pitting even under the wood stock. This rifle was assigned to a VFW post that closed in the early 70’s and was issued to one of its members. He joined the VFW in 1946 and it was there at that time. He retained the rifle until now. Owner states he can remember shooting blanks out of it a few times as a member of the VFW. No trades but realistic reasonable offers will be considered. Shipping is to be paid by the buyer in addition to the amount of the winning bid. Shipping cost is $40.00 to ship this item to your FFL or C&R holder. Insurance for the purchase price is included in the shipping charge. Postal Money orders preferred, certified funds and personal checks will be accepted. Master Card, Visa and Discover are also accepted- please note a 3% charge will be added to the total cost for credit card use. A signed copy of the FFL or C&R must be received with payment before shipment. Missouri residents please add 8.850% sales tax. The buyer is responsible to know your local firearm laws, please check with your FFL holder prior to bidding if you are not sure this firearm is legal in your state.
