Magnificent Colt 1849 Pocket, Mfg. 1855, All-Matching. Stock # AH106DJ. Serial # 100xxx. One of several hundred antique firearms for sale at Jackson Armory (many are online-see our other listings), this is a very early (1855) production .31 caliber Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, all-matching, and in just magnificent condition! The pistol has a 4” octagonal barrel with Colt’s 2-line New York address on top. The pistol has a very sharp (95%) cylinder scene, and all other Colt marking are crisp and legible, The pistol retains about 80% of it’s original blue finish, there is mild freckling here and there. The original wooden grips retain 90% of the varnish, they have some service marks. There is still about 85-90% of the original silver on the grip strap – overall condition of the pistol is about 90%. The bore is a little dark, rifling is visible. The action retains 3 cocks and the cylinder locks up tightly, trigger pull is crisp. When you add this superb pistol to your collection you will be hard-pressed to find an upgrade better than this! We do not have any accessories for this gun. This is an antique firearm – with a copy of your Drivers License, establishing that you are over age 21, we can ship the gun direct to your home, an FFL license is not required.
