Because of Littlestone Ammunition's tight manufacturing tolerances, it performs consistently and therefore
typically is quite accurate. But regardless of any ammo's quality, handguns can be finicky, and you must have ammo that:

- your gun digests reliably
- shoots to point of aim
- and has tolerable recoil helping you get back on target quickly
Finding that load can be expensive if you have to buy a full box of 20 or 50 rounds for every type you want to try. Which is why we developed our
sample pack system. With one purchase of 20 or 50 rounds, you can test either two or five different loads, helping you find ammo that meets all your needs much more economically.
Each of our sample packs comes complete with the written load number record of each load in the pack, and a color-coded test-fire evaluation

This is a 20-round sample pack loaded with two 185-grain bullets, 10 of
each.
.45 ACP SP4 Includes:
- Ten rounds of 185-grain Barnes TAC-XPs. The Barnes X bullet for handguns is a homogeneous solid copper bullet that combines accuracy, power and exceptional
penetration. The handgun X bullet comes in two versions, the TAC-XP and the XPB. The designations refer to their expected use, either personal defense or hunting, as there are no differences in the basic construction of these
hollow point bullets. Barnes handgun X bullets are known for three noteworthy traits: accuracy, penetration, and the six razor sharp petals that peel back from the bullet's nose upon impact and create a cutting wound that
promotes bleeding and energy delivery. The accuracy and penetration both arise from the solid copper construction. Starline brass cases.
- Ten rounds loaded with 185-grain Remington Golden Sabers. The Golden Saber is Remington's offering for law enforcement and personal defense use. This hollow
point bullet has some unusual features Remington suggests produce superior performance. Unlike most jacketed bullets in which the jacket is a copper alloy, the Golden Saber jacket is pure brass, which is said to release
energy over a longer distance while mushrooming. Additionally, the skives on the hollow point jacket are cut in a spiral rather than straight down, said by Remington to allow mushrooming at a lower velocity. Additionally, this
bullet offers match-type accuracy and deep penetration, while providing maximum penetration and nearly 100% weight retention. Starline brass cases.

"I fired 18 rounds of the high velocity .357 Barnes last weekend from my Ruger GP100. I was pleasantly surprised by the mild recoil. Definitely
more kick than the 38 special +P, but not bad at all. We had another piece of 3/4 inch acrylic which these rounds easily penetrated. Clearly a bunch more penetration than fmj from the 40 and the 9. The acrylic was backed by
an inch of plywood which did little to slow the bullet, but the plywood did initiate some expansion (the acrylic did not)... I was putting up three-shot groups of three inches at 50 feet. Just iron sites, no bench rest; bad guys
beware . ... All said, these rounds get two thumbs up and were fun to shoot."

"Each time I fired, the response was consistent and stable to the extent that it gave me a confidence that I could rely on. Additionally, 45
ACP's have always given me a bit of a hand torque, large diameter with a less than perfectly consistent burn, I think, at least that's what my brain says. Anyway, with the Littlestone ammo, I had a straight up and down recoil
action that helped get tighter patterns. Of course, super clean ammo is always a plus. Some people say that you will need to clean the gun anyway, but clean to the level of your ammo creates a more soothing after shot
environment around the pistol which helps support the next shot. I find myself trying to explain a feeling rather than simply: I hit the target more consistently."
