Up for auction is a Remington Hepburn no. 3 match rifle. This rifle is in excellent condition with original finish. The color case on the receiver is very strong with slight fading on the bottom of the trigger guard. The action is tight and the barrel is a 28" octagon to round and is about 80% original blue. The bore is shiny and bright. The Schuetzen butt plate and forearm cap are nickel plated. Sights are the original tang peep with a wind age adjustable front. The set triggers work perfectly, the stock has fancy grain with a cheek rest and no cracks. Both the butt stock and forearm are checkered. The barrel is marked Remington Arms Co. Ilion N.Y. and the receiver is marked Hepburns Pat. Oct 7th, 1879. The caliber is marked on the barrel forward of the forearm 40-65. It has a hand made wooden case with a wooden rod, 23 miscellaneous rounds marked 40-70 Sharps, an ideal loading tool marked 40-70-330, a clamp on barrel rest and some miscellaneous patched bullets. This is higher quality no. 3 match edition of this rifle. This is a beautiful early target rifle that has maintained its condition with excellent storage. EW See Photos.

issue you a corresponding restocking fee so if paid you will not be listed as a
non-paying bidder and will cover our costs to re-list the Item. This is only for items NOT processed for
