The Brugger & Thomet B&T MK-II 9x19mm semi-automatic is a 17+1 capacity pistol built around a 4.3” threaded barrel and a polymer frame. This limited release all matte black gun is based on Sphinx SDP Compact pistol, in turn based on the famed CZ-75. But rather than make an exact copy, the always innovative B&T advanced the type with various improvements including an improved DA/SA trigger.
The B&T MKII has Italian low-profile LPA adjustable front and rear sights that occupy the top of the stylish slide. The slide has a chamfered muzzle end that tapers up to a more conventional almost vertical flanked rear. That rear has nice forward leaning slide serrations.
Moving down, you have an ambidextrous thumb safety, a medium beavertail, and a four-slot Picatinny rail under the recoil spring housing. The trigger and grip area are nicely thought out. There is a concave-face combat trigger guard around the trigger. The grip has three finger grooves along the front. This design is nicely echoed in the semi-circular front recesses along the front of each grip panel. The slide catch and magazine release are nicely textured.
It also uses with and works with CZ-75/Sphinx compatible magazines. It ships new with a pair of 17-round double-stack magazines and a cleaning kit.
