Bond Arms History

Bond Arms was founded in 1995 by tool and die maker, Greg Bond, in Granbury, Texas and is currently the largest Derringer manufacturer in the firearms industry. Originally named Texas Armory, the company grew into its “Bond Arms” name with a mission to convert the Remington Model 95 over-under single-action derringer into a modern, defensive handgun. The mission fueled Bond Arms to modernize the Old West Model 95, redesigning the double barrels and frame to safely fire modern calibers, and outfitting the exterior with stainless steel for a pistol that’s both strong and durable.

Their mission was a success, garnering 17 SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) world champion titles, and boosting their reputation as an industry leader in derringer product development.

Bond Arms Products

Bond Arms Derringers are chambered in a variety of calibers including the .45 Long Colt and .40 Shot shell. The three most popular models are the Texas Defender, Cowboy Defender, and the Snake Slayer Derringers. All Bond Arms pistols are equipped with a trigger guard, except for the Cowboy Defender, which is removable for a more traditional look. Bond Arms Derringers have interchangeable barrels – easily switching from one caliber to another. Bond Arms offers custom grip panels for their guns as well as custom-made holsters. Bond Arms also sells a one-hand opening knife in partnership with Buck Knives.
