The Browning Buck Mark Field/Target Micro Tungsten Suppressor Ready is a .22LR 10+1 single-action autoloading pistol. The color scheme is black and tungsten. For simplicity and reliability, this semi-automatic uses a straight blow-back, recoil-operated architecture. The Tungsten Cerakoted steel barrel is 4.4” long. It has a bull profile, features 1/2"-28 suppressor ready threads and a stunning black radial ported muzzle brake. Overall length is 8 3/8”, and weight is 32 ounces, making it a neat two pounds.

The Matte Gray receiver is CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum. Thus, the gun is both lightweight and sturdy. There is something mesmerizingly cool about .22LR pistols. Their smaller caliber gives their designers reason to cut back their long slide where possible, minimizing weight and bulk while adding to graceful looks. And then there’s the functional part too: the length gives an accuracy-enhancing 6 3/4" sight radius and room for a nice, long MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail between the two.

The racetrack oval alloy trigger guard has a matte black finish and finishes in an ergonomic undercut. The trigger is also alloy, but it is gold-plated, which is a Browning signature along with the gold Buck Mark under the trigger guard. The magazine release is just aft of the trigger guard.

Moving down, the Browning Ultragrip FX (UFX) grips look great and feel great. They’ve got side finger recesses and nice rubber texturing that’s overmolded on the underlying composite. This provides added grip and increases comfort. Likewise, the grip itself ends high up and with a medium beavertail atop it. This contour gives excellent control but remains compact enough for easy unholstering.

Browning cares about safety. Of course, there is the requisite thumb safety. It’s on the gun’s left side at back not far behind the slide release / slide stop. But additionally, there’s a clever mechanical magazine safety. The gun won’t fire without a magazine in the magwell.
