The Browning Buck Mark Plus Vision Black/Gold Suppressor Ready is a stunning .22LR 10+1 rimfire single action. At heart is an almost all matte black gun. The reason it’s stunning is because a gold Cerakote barrel peers from the hexagonal cuts in the lightweight tensioning aluminum barrel sleeve. Additionally, the gun features a green TRUGLO/Marble Arms fiber-optic front sight, a gold-plated trigger and superb black radial ported muzzle brake.

The Buck Mark Plus Vision Black/Gold semi-automatic pistol uses straight blow-back, recoil-operated engineering. This wonderful 2021 SHOT Show Special offering has a hand-reamed chamber. The barrel runs 5 7/8” long, has 1/2"-28 suppressor-ready threads and is fronted by the aforementioned radial ported muzzle brake. The gun’s hexagonal cut sleeve encapsulates the narrower diameter gold Cerakoted steel barrel. The gun’s weight is almost ridiculously minimal at just 27 ounces and is 9 9/10” long overall.

The matte black receiver is CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, meaning the machine is computer programmed and works semi-autonomously to make arguably perfect parts including the barrel sleeves hex cuts. Using 7075-T6 plus lightening cuts keep the gun lightweight and simultaneously sturdy.

You’ll find matte black sights in front and back. You get a ramped blade TRUGLO/Marble Arms front sight. The green fiber-optic tube sight is fixed in place. Moving back is a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail. And behind that is a white outline Pro-Target rear sight. It’s finely adjustable for windage and elevation with 16-clicks per revolution. The gun’s sight radius is 8.25", which is great for accuracy.

Moving down, the all-black UFX polymer grips with thoroughly sculpted finger grooves look and feel great. They have side finger recesses and nice texturing that should keep everything steady in your hand when you most need it. The grip reaches up to a medium beavertail. This design provides great control, reduces muzzle flip and expedites follow on shots.

The gun includes a 10-round single-stack steel magazine with a coil-spring instead of the Z-spring you might see in other magazines. Once all rounds are expended, the slide locks open.

Browning includes a thumb safety on the gun’s left side at back aft of the slide release / slide stop. And a clever mechanical magazine safety stops the gun from firing when there is no magazine in the magwell.
