The Browning Gold Light channels eons of Browning experience into a big 10-gauge 4+1 capacity 2 ¾” shell shotgun. This makes it the highest capacity 10-gauge semi-automatic in production. This is a big semi-automatic with a 3 ½” chrome plated chamber and 14 ½” length of pull.

There are two Gold Light models. The first has a 26” barrel, measures 48” overall and weighs 9 pounds 7 ounces. The second is even bigger with a 28” barrel that measures a full 50” overall. Not surprisingly, weight is a correspondingly hefty 9 pounds 10 ounces.

For either model, everything else is the same. The matte blued barrel is crowned by a 5/16 rib. The receiver is lightweight aluminum with a matte black finish. The composite stock has a matte finish. The straight buttstock has a 1 ½” drop at the comb that angles down to a 2 ½” drop at the heel. It ends in a ventilated black recoil pad.

The gun comes with a trio of interchangeable Invector chokes, meaning full, improved cylinder and modified chokes.

The all-black model scheme is known as Stalker. However, the Gold Light can also be had in Shadow Grass or Break-Up camouflage. Both use natural elements and are designed by famed Mossy Oak. Both cover seemingly everything except the ejection port, trigger guard, trigger and buttpad. Thus even barrel, vent rib, receiver, forend and buttstock are all camouflaged.
