The CZ-75 B is the 1990s second generation 9 mm evolution of the classic CZ-75 high-capacity semi- automatic that debuted in 1975. The Made in Czech Republic gun is a steel frame pistol, and CZ says its lineup is the most popular police and military gun worldwide.

The original CZ-75 was available in 9 mm Luger (10+1, 16+1 or 18+1 capacity) or .40 S&W (10+1 capacity). With its bold looks, superb ergonomics, overall design simplicity and the inability of its designers to patent it abroad during the Cold War, it’s been widely and blatantly emulated. CZ has built well over 1,000,000 to date.

The shared family trait is a 4.6” long hammer forged barrel. The relentlessly sturdy construction integrated a slide-in-frame slide mated to a lightweight frame. This approach tracked better and made for better recoil control.

The CZ-75 B adds a serrated front face to the rounded trigger guard and other features such as a firing pin block (hence the “B” suffix) and comes only in 9 mm.

The CZ-75 B has white three-dot sights. It also has a manual safety. The frame and slide are matte black. It comes with either a 10-round or a 16-round magazine. It weighs 35.2 ounces.

The CZ-75 BD has a decocking lever instead of the manual safety and weighs 35.3 ounces, but is otherwise the same. Brand new, it was the same price as the standard CZ-75 B.

The CZ 75 B ? (Omega) adds the simplified Omega trigger group to simplify takedown and maintenance. It adds a swappable ambidextrous safety. Weight nudges up to 36.6 ounces.

The CZ 75 B ? Urban Grey Suppressor-Ready swathes an urban gray finish across the frame and slide. The sights are tritium and taller to be suppressor friendly. The grips, controls, sights and fasteners are black. This model comes with a 10-round or an 18-round mag in lieu of the 10-round or 16-round offerings of the three other models. Weight is 35.7 ounces.

For all CZ-75 B models, width is 1.4”. The three non-suppressor models have a 4.6” long barrel, 5.4” height and an 8.1” overall length. The CZ 75 B ? Urban Grey Suppressor-Ready’s dimensions differ thanks to the thread, taller sight and extended magazine. It comes in at 6.1” tall and 8.8” in overall length.

Kansas City, Kansas-based CZ-USA imports the CZ-75 lineup into the United States from the Czech Republic, hence the “CZ-USA” prefix for American market guns.
