The Century Arms C39v2 probably answers anyone’s quest for a premium Made in USA AK-47-type rifle. There are currently five rifle models: C39v2 WOOD, C39v2 WOOD (CA COMPLIANT), C39v2 MOE, C39v2 MOE (CA COMPLIANT) and C39v2 ZHUKOV built around 16.50” barrels and 7.62x39mm caliber and 10 or 30-round magazines. There are also two C39v2 pistols, the C39v2 Pistol and C39v2 Blade, featuring everything you’d want built around a 10.60” 7.62x39mm caliber barrel with 30-round magazines.

No matter which piques your interest, the C39v2s are replete with features and interesting characteristics. They use side scope rail mounts, smooth heat-treated single-stage RAK-1 enhanced trigger groups, oversized T-shaped magazine releases, and AK Modified (AKM) sights. Their 14x1 left hand metric threaded muzzles front nitride-treated chrome moly 4150 barrels. These, in turn, mate to 4140 ordnance quality milled steel receivers.

There are five rifles and two pistols. First let’s examine the rifle quintet.
