Charles Daly makes an incredibly affordable line of single-shot, single-barrel, break open shotguns. For 2021, the eight models span 12-gauge, 20-gauge and .410 bore. They mate 20”, 26” and 28” length barrels to synthetic and camouflage stocks.

They feature manual safeties, single chokes and checkering on the forend and stock. There are eight models total we can group into synthetic and walnut stocks.

Let’s examine them starting with the 20” barrel 12-gauge and .410 bore versions. Both measure 37.75” overall and have synthetic stocks, a fixed fiber optic front sight and a Picatinny rail in back. The 12-gauge has a 3” chamber, weighs 5 pounds and is all black. The .410 bore weighs 4.55 pounds and has a Mossy Oak Bottomland camo paired to a field dark earth (FDE) receiver and FDE barrel. Both have a single Beretta/Benelli Mobil Choke Thread MC-1 (XXF) choke.

The two 26” barrel models have synthetic stocks, synthetic forends, brass bead sights and measure 41.75” overall. Your choices? You can get 20-gauge with a 3” chamber or .410 bore. The 20 comes with a Beretta/Benelli Mobil Choke Thread MC-1 (M) and weighs 7 pounds. The .410 weighs 8 pounds and features a Fixed Modified Choke. Charles Daly overs the same two in walnut. Dimensions and chokes are the same, but they weigh 4.8 and 5 pounds, respectively.

Charles Daly also offers two 12-gauges in 28” barrels. One is walnut weighing 5 pounds while the all black synthetic one weighs 6 pounds. Both have brass bead sights, a Beretta/Benelli Mobil Choke Thread MC-1 (M) measure 43.75 overall.
