The Charter Arms Pathfinder is a compact, powerful and capable lineup of 6-round .22 LR and .22 Magnum caliber revolvers. All have a 2.0” long barrel, stainless steel frame and full size black rubber grips with three finger grooves. These guns weigh 19 ounces.

All models use a traditional spur hammer. Beyond these 2.0” barrel revolvers are all the same except the color choices, which black, stainless, pink or lavender.

The color choices detail as follows: black barrel and cylinder on a stainless frame, stainless barrel and cylinder with a stainless frame, pink frame with a stainless barrel and cylinder and lavender frame with a stainless barrel and cylinder.

The stainless model is also available in both .22 LR and .22 Magnum 4” barrel Target variants. These weigh 24 ounces instead of 19 and have adjustable rear sights.

Charter Arms is in Shelton, Connecticut and started business in 1964. Shelton is about 10 miles north of Long Island Sound. Charter Arms has a good array of revolvers, all designed around lightweight one-piece frames instead of two part ones that are screwed together. Shelton also uses eight-groove barrels instead of more common six-groove ones. Its barrels always shroud their ejector rods. The guns are feature short hammer throws, wide triggers and wide hammer spurs, etc.

Sighting is done via a long ramp fixed front sight and a fixed rear sight. The cylinder is partially fluted with indents that look like they were made by bullets facing backward. The trigger is curved and sits in a snag-free egg-shaped trigger guard.

Finally, the grip is rubber with a deep undercut, three finger recesses and little mounds on either side, all of which combine for a comfortable, good grip.
