Christensen Arms History

Founded by Dr. Roland Christensen, the custom carbon firearms of Christensen Arms draw on Dr. Christensen's background in aerospace technology and the medical prosthetic industry. Using precision engineering and innovative materials, all the parts and components of Christensen firearms are made on site in Gunnison, Utah. Known for extreme accuracy and fine-finishing, Christensen Arms offers 1911-style pistols, bolt action rifles and, more recently, AR-style rifles as well as individual parts and accessories.

Having had a hand in the creative use of carbon-fiber in both the medical prosthetics and aerospace industries, Dr. Christensen, an avid shooter, saw the opportunity to transfer his extensive knowledge of carbon-fiber properties to his hobby. Lightweight, with better heat dissipation than traditional steel, Christensen carbon-fiber barrels quickly made a splash in the firearms market. Building on this success Christensen Arms expanded to manufacturing hunting, sport shooting and tactical rifles as well as handguns, custom pieces and parts.
